Diamond in the rough supports’ positive mental health development in adolescents, as it is a major public health concern worldwide. This program is aimed to explore adolescents’ experiences through the arts with a cognitive based behavioral prevention program.  The program the prepares young men and women ages 13-18 to meet the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood through coordinated, progressive series of high-quality activities and learning experiences that help them achieve social, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.  Boy and Girls participate in group mentoring, community service, and enrichment activities as thy gain the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and vocational goals, and have the self-confidence and self-esteem to pursue and achieve their goals.
