STEPHANIE WILLIAMS

Founder & Director

Stephanie Williams, born and raised in the New England area holds a Masters in Counseling and currently works as a School Counselor/Mental Health Therapist and coach of the Royal Diamonds Dance Team. Since the age of 3, she demonstrated a passion and enthusiasm for dance, which has continued to this day. In 2014, she started a mentoring dance program “Diamond in the Rough” in which middle and high school girls and boys would meet to dance and obtain guidance and mentorship in academics and social/emotional well-being.  In 2018, she expanded the program to include all the Arts, which later turned into “The Center.”  When Stephanie is not counseling her students, volunteering her time with various organizations, and being an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. you can find her mastering her first love....dance.

JULYSSA

Instructor

Julyssa Peterkin, born in Newark New Jersey and raised In Florida. She is currently a college student at Valencia, studying Dance while working Pandora.  During her free time, she is the Assistant Coach for the Royal Diamonds Dance Team. Since the age of four she was intrigued with the art of dance.  At 15 years old, she coordinated two Quinceaneras, meanwhile performing with two dance groups, including Performance Dolls and Royal Diamonds Dance Team during her junior and senior year of high school.  In her free time, she enjoys taking various styles of dance classes to improve her skills.  It is her goal to build a positive foundation for the dancers she encounters by motivating them to become creative and have a space where her students can feel comfortable in their own skin.
